Reviews

[vc_row][vc_column][distance type=”5″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]With so many board games in the market and many more being launched every year, it’s really hard to decide what will be good to play with your family or friends. This is exactly where I’ll try to help you.

How I create my Reviews

All my reviews are based in actual game play. So if I write something, it means I already played it.

As not all games works for my style, they may not work for you as well. That’s how I try to explain the game experience, give you some details and talk about it’s components.

Do you have a Board Game you want me to Review?

I’ll be more than happy to play something new and give you my sincere opinion. So if you have a suggestion or think I would like playing something you didn’t see here, please leave a comment and I’ll take a look at it.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][ess_grid alias=”review-grid”][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

  1. I have never seen a site that reviews game boards before. This is great! It will certainly save some time and money knowing what a game is like before buying it. Thanks

It always help having some information from someone who actually play it before buying it and that’s my purpose here.
      Thanks for your comment 🙂

  2. The game ‘Risk’ has always appealed to me but I’ve always had very bad experiences playing it, for example games lasting up to 6 hours! Online people have wrote how a regular game normally should only last 30 minutes to an hour. Have you ever played this? If so, what did you think?

      Hi Daniel,
Risk is a game that last hours for me. It only lasts 30 minutes when I am the only one that know the rules :P. There’s a lot to be taken in consideration here, but it’s a game that is very heavy in luck, not only strategy, and it can make the game take too long to finish as people keeps acquiring and losing new territories without any real change in the game. So, I can say that I don’t have a very good experience playing it either as it gets me annoyed after the first hour.
In any case, it’s actually a good candidate for a new review as I have much to talk about it. Thanks for your suggestion.

      • I loved Risk except there is always two players that will gang up on a third to get them out of the game faster, and since I always played with my brother and his friends guess who always got ganged up on? That’s right–me.
It is one of the flaws in the game, that they could actually do that.

It is actually part of the game. You can influence other players to help in order to both achieve something in the game, but that doesn’t mean that you’re not actually helping then win the game, right?
You can take a look at my Risk review and I’m sure that you will see that other people also have other ways to play it.
          Have fun.

  3. I love that you create your reviews from actually playing the games. I also like your taste in board games. The site looks clean and the pics you use are sharp and appealing. Keep up the good work!

      Thanks Mike.
Playing it is the only way to actually have an opinion. 🙂 It’s something I like, so I don’t mind testing games.

  4. Hey I really like the layout of your website. Your content was thorough and I liked that. Also, I might check out one of those boards games. Continue doing what your doing!
